I was pleased with the Pixio PX278's 1440p resolution and 144Hz performance for a refurbished unit at $139.99. The 400 cd/m² brightness and 1ms response time make it suitable for competitive gaming. Adaptive-Sync helps reduce tearing. However, the TN panel has narrower viewing angles and less vibrant colors than IPS. The stand is basic, and being refurbished, there's always a gamble. If you want high refresh rate 1440p on a budget, it's a solid deal.
